Vaginal stenosis
Vaginal stenosis is a narrowing of the vagina, often as a result of radiotherapy or surgery. It is associated with tissue changes such as dryness, thinning of the vagina walls, a reduction in the number of small blood vessels, loss of elasticity and resilience and formation of scar tissue.
Post-treatment use of dilators can help reduce the effects of stenosis and allow you to resume sexual relations when you are ready.
